I have mixed feelings about this filer. First, it was not very hard to install. It looks intimidating when you take it out of the box, but if you follow the directions, it's pretty self explanatory by the diagram alone.. I purchased a TDS meter and a 14-n-1 water test kit to test both the city water, and the filtered water. I plan on testing a bottled springs water soon. The results of the test strip which tests things like rust, iron, chlorine, fluoride, and many other things were almost identical for both the city and filter water, with just a small difference in Alkalinity and PH. The TDS meter on the city water read 168 and the filter water read at 98. Now at first I was PISSED…. I was expecting a TDS reading below 50 and nearly 0… so I did a lil research, and found that a low TDS is not healthy. Now there are many blogs and and sites that say different levels of TDS anywhere from 80-500 is the optimal healthy reading for TDS, but they all say anything below 50 in unhealthy… many sites that I found said between 80-100 was good, so I feel comfortable that my reading of 98 is ok, however, the city reading is 168 which is also very healthy according to many sites.. here is a quote from one site “TDS should be 100 any water less than 80 TDS is not good for health. low TDS is likely to be acidic. TDS 27 is very low and likely to be depleted of calcium, magnesium and other nutriments and therefore not good for health in the long run. It cay cause bone problems. Research shows that low TDS water(soft water) can cause heart problems.You can look into recent research by WHO on low”. So overall according to both the stip test and the TDS meter, my city water was perfectly fine and the filter only lowered my TDS to 100, all other tests were almost identical. So either my city water is extremely good and well treated, or this filter doesn't do much..??? If you have very poor water quality or well water you may get much better results, so take that into consideration. One other thing I can say about the filter water is the ice it makes.. I compared the filter water with city water to make ice, and the filtered water is a bit clearer where the city water is a bit cloudier. Another note, we never use to drink tap water, have been drinking bottled spring water for decades. We do feel the filter water taste a lil smoother and fresher than the bottle water.

This unit works well. After a few days of use I decided to purchase a TDS meter. 1st. I measured the water from my faucet and got a reading of 135. 2nd I measured from the water from the refrigerator that I recently replaced the filter on and the reading was 115. Last I measured from the RO system. I was pleased to see the TDS read between 20-24. If you decide to purchase, know that the unit leaked for a few seconds when I turned the water back on. After it pressurized it stopped. I would recommend this product.

I'm a huge fan of adding minerals back into the water for health purposes. Unfortunately, just as another reviewer stated, after install and proper disposal of the first 5 tanks (it requires less, but I did 5 just to be safe), there was a terrible taste given to the water from the provided Alkaline re-mineralization process. I'm talking a sulfuric/rotten egg flavor. My unfiltered city water tastes much better than that did. Luckily before I uninstalled the whole system, I read the other review that suggested removing the minerals and emptying the tank. That did it.
Now I'm on the hunt for a different company that makes minerals that will hopefully connect to this system. And unfortunately, I'm just out of that extra cash I have to spend on it.
IF YOU BUY THIS, prepare to re-tighten each tube through the pr-configured system, or you will have leak problems to track down. (other reviews suggest this as well).
Once I removed the provided Alkaline mineralization process, however, the water tastes great! (thus, 3 stars)

Also after re-tightening every valve throughout the system, after a month of use, the system still has a cat-like wining sound that occurs once, after running the water for about 20 seconds.

I could not be happier with our purchase! Super easy to install and to save space under our sink my husband installed it in our basement and just spent an extra $6.00 on extra line at the local hardware store… I have no idea why we waited so long to make this purchase. Our water is better than bottled in my opinion! You won’t regret buying this product! And it’s saving us money by not having to spend money on water at the store!

he system is excellent but there are things that should be made clear before you buy. First, if you do not have a generous amount of room under your sink, this system won’t fit. Next, if your sink is not a double basin, then you probably don’t have easy access to connect the waste water line. You might need to buy a dishwasher air gap with an adapter to connect the waste water. Third, if you don’t have a hole in your counter for the little faucet then you will have to drill your granite (or tile or whatever) yourself. Last, the instructions are quite vague on how much to tighten things. The canisters that hold the various filters must be tightened with considerable force.

This was very easy to install. I installed it in the basement directly below the kitchen sink. So not exactly typical. We also had the purified water supply line go to our refrigerator also. I was worried we would not have enough water pressure but we actually have more now than we did before we added the water purifier. Our ice cubes are crystal clear. The directions we very simple to follow. Everything is color coded and very easy to understand.
We had the power supply, for the ultraviolet light, quit working very quickly after installation. Express Water provided the quickest and most courteous customer service experience ever. I have no problem with recommending this water purification system to anyone. We are very satisfied with the price point, quality and customer service provided by Express Water. Our water is crystal clear and tastes great. I hope to be able to upload photos.
