Stage 1 – Removes suspended solids such as dust and rust that make your water appear cloudy

What is TDS: Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) refer to minerals, salts, metals including lead, chemicals, fluoride and runoff polluting your drinking water. ZeroWater Technology is the only water filtration system to remove 99% of TDS, equivalent to TDS in purified bottled water. Get more out of your water with ZeroWater's Premium 5-Stage Water Filtration.

First off, this system does work well when filtering water, it is the best filters we have tried.
However, the issue we had was with the dispenser. It is made of cheap plastic and is not repairable or replaceable (which we found out after it broke). The lid is also a loose fit and a bit flimsy. After about a year of intermittent use in a house of 2 adults, the spout snapped in half, spilling water all over the kitchen. Pic attached of the parts that broke. The only fix was to replace the entire unit.
We are happy to report that the company, Zero Technologies, stood behind the system and replaced it for free, in a very prompt and courteous manner. We are now using the replacement dispenser. We speak highly of the filter and the company, but suggest redesign on the water dispenser.

Honestly, this is an “almost great product” Wanting to have super clean water is huge for me and I like this product BUT, the flaws are really irritating. The filter needs to be changed more often than what they say and you don't know if you need a new filter until the water tastes like citrus…then the whole 23 cups need opt be poured out… a new filter goes in and you start all over. It's frustrating and you don't see it coming. When the filter goes bad (a lot quicker than the product states) it goes from zero to in the 300's. I have been told by the manufacturer that “some filters sit and unfortunately dry out” but, when they do, you've wasted time in filtering water and that moment the filter goes bad, it's real bad…Like you're better off with tap water. Now, I did say I like the product and the filters are not all that expensive yet, I get it that you are getting ZERO water but, they need to have some way of letting you know before the filter goes bad because like I said, it can be that “topping off” water you added to the almost near full 23 cup dispenser and then you've wasted all of that water to boot. It's great to have zero water and you will love it but, there needs to be a better way to know if your filter is headed to going full on, full out. *the manufacturer did say “it is not unsafe at this stage” however, the taste is horrible.

when it is the TDS reading for my well-water. I thought ZeroWater was the answer to my prayers–and it was, for FOUR days. For 4 days I had perfect water, but on the 5th day the water tasted like lemons, which is “the sign” that it's time to change the filter. According to ZeroWater's very friendly & sympathetic customer service rep, with the high TDS content in my water, each ZeroWater filter will give me about 8 gallons of wonderfully clean-tasting water. It's far cheaper for me to buy Walmart purified water (which has 006 TDS, btw) and pour it into my filterless $45 23-cup ZeroWater container than it is to buy filters. Can't fault ZeroWater–much. And yeah, I cried.

If you are thinking of buying a Zero Water purifier think twice. One of my kitties started throwing up blood and I grieved that it was probably his time to leave us. But then my other sweet boy did the same thing! The only new element I introduced was this water purifier. I researched online only to find out that other people's pets reacted badly and humans got headaches. I had just bought Exederin migraine medication because my head hurt. No wonder. I immediately gave them fresh bottled water and in the last two days later they have not thrown up once. Seriously folks, there must be something really nasty in their filter, is it fiberglass? What then? Amazon accepted my return and off it went today.

We purchased three (3) ZeroWater 23 cup dispensers. One for our home, our daughter's home, and our Airbnb property. As others have stated, the first week or so goes fine. Easy to fill, doesn't take up too much space, the water is good, and is convenient. BUT then the water began to taste like it was tainted with vinegar. We emptied the container, washed it, but still the same result. I bought the expensive replacement filters and again for a while everything is fine. Meanwhile, our daughter calls to say her water tastes funny. Same routine. Now, with the replacement filer barely in for two weeks, our water smells like dead shrimp! We've wasted over $100 on dispensers and filters. Stay away from this product and the company selling it.

The water tastes fine and I bought two of the 23-cup dispenser. The 2nd one had a leak with the spout which was promptly replaced by Amazon. The replaced one only worked for about 6 months before the blue button snapped off. The button has only a narrow white plastic stem to hold against a heavy spring. This is a weak link. That should have been a stainless piece instead of plastic. Looks like I am not the only one with this problem.
Update:-
I contacted ZeroWater and informed them about my problem. Customer service sent me a new one without charge. While the spout design is not durable but customer service is great.

Best tasting water ever. I live in West Fargo, ND the tap water here is horrible so it ls pointless using it unless I want to go through a new filter every 2-3weeks. What I do for my filters to last month's is go to my nearest grocery store and fill up a 5gallon jug of their filtetered water for $1.95 and then run it through my zero water system and a single filter lasts me half a year. Problem solved. I refill my 5gallon jug every weekend btw
Conclusion
The Performance of ZeroWater, 23 Cup Pitcher is moderate.
