The Platinum Alkaline Water Ionizer by Bawell is made out of BPA-free food-grade plastics which have received the approval of the FDA, so it is a healthy device to run your water through. The filtration technology will cleanse your water of harmful microbes and remove unwanted minerals (great if you are trying to fix a hard water problem). Additionally, the huge number of pre-programmed settings (8 at each power level) makes it a breeze to get your water as alkaline or acidic as you want it.
We should note this is the top of the line model offered by Bawell. They also have some lower-priced options such as the Premier Model 1195 which may be a good fit if you have a lower budget since it comes in at about $1,000 less. The Bawell 1195 has a slightly smaller Ph range, five plates vs. the 7 of the 2195 and a lower flow rate, but it still is a solid product with strong reviews and feedback from the user community. The Bawell Platinum model uses 2 filters instead of just one. When it comes to drinking water filtration systems, more filters is better. These filters are good for about 5000 liters each, that is about 1320 gallons of filtered alkalized water you can make between filter changes. Depending on how much water you use per day, they can last longer or shorter than one year. In general, Bawell recommends you change the filters once per year or when the filter life counter on the front of the machine expires, which ever comes first.

Hello, I will say right up front I didnt purchase my unit from Amazon, but directly from the company. The only reason why was that they had a great sale one weekend that beat the Amazon price. This unit performs and exceeds my expectations. We started with a water company that promoted Kangan machines and the water, but found we could not afford that price. Not only that it appeared like their unit required more maintenance with the Kangan. With the Bawell machine the cleaning is automatic prior to the selected water choice. I have waited the 9 months to make this review so I can make a true review. We have the Bawell Platinum Model 2195 unit and is described well in this article. I don't know what and how many filters the Amazon Unit have, but mine did provide several when I purchased mine almost 9 months ago. Today my unit told me that I needed to change my GAC Filter. I think it is right on time, it was stated it would be about 1320 gallons/5000L or about 10 months for this filter. Being we provide water for 2 other families, I'm surprised it wasn't sooner, it ended up to be 8 months. Now for my thoughts of this unit.
When we purchased the unit we also purchased a ORP and water test kits to verify the water coming from the unit, because it was going back if it didn't produce correctly. After easy set up per instructions, we tested the water and it was exactly accurate to what level we were on, that was great. The doctor I was going to ordered testing of my meds (Coumadin) no later than a week after starting to use the water, because it may change the dose and that could be really bad for me, being that I needed the meds accurate because I had two PEs(pulmonary embolisms )in the past. For 20 years I had never had a change in my meds and after testing my blood was too thin, meaning I could decrease my meds in half, wahoooo! Just in case, he ordered testing weekly for 2 months and my dose did not change, so that ment the water allowed my meds to flow into my system at a better rate with less meds. The ORP may have been the cause of it and the doctor testing was amazed. I had heard that in Japan they use This type of water in all the hospitals there and who knows this might be the reason.
The second thing that happened was within a week my skin was silky feeling, I called it slippery skin. This happened with the other people we are providing it to also. My husband being that he has a latex allergy, had huge thickness on the palms of his hands because of scaring. He has had this thickness for over 10 years. Even though the allergens have been removed in his employment, he still had these thickenings for all these years. After he started the water, his hands began to heal and now after 8 months his hand are almost back to normal, I would call it a miracle. I would recommend this unit for anyone!

Saved a bunch buying used (demonstrator) and it came in brand-new box with two additional filters for when the “used” ones need replacing.
Love the water – it's identical in taste and texture to the ionized alkaline water from the much more expensive competition. I would recommend this company and machine highly.

I love this Bawell Platinum Water Ionizer! My health is my top priority and I've come to realize the numerous benefits of drinking reduced, ionized alkaline water. My digestive process is much improved compared to regular filtered water and my energy level is through the roof! This machine is also much nicer than the competitor's $4,500 machine that comes with the dreaded MLM strings attached. I've used both and I must admit that I like the Bawell machine much better and the price is so much more reasonable. If you watch the online installation video it is very helpful in guiding you in how to install the Ionizer. The water in our city pipes has lots of rust and sediments. I have used the Ionizer for close to two weeks, and it has improved the taste of my morning coffee and has encouraged me to drink more alkaline and purified water on a daily basis. I researched the features of a number of Ionizers on the market, and I believe this one provides the greatest value for the costs.

I love this machine . While pricey , since I've been drinking this water I have gotten off my antacids that I had been on for 8 years . After using for about two weeks , I went back to my favorite water fountain at work as I forgot my water on that day . The fountain water was undrinkable for me . I could taste the chemicals . This was well worth the money in my opinion
