good stuff. like it says, 100% pea protein. no junk soy, no junk dairy, no vegetable oils or sugar. I respect the guys out there like Anthony and Naked and Now who are making pure pea protein and not giving into the whining about taste. Folks, if you want a milkshake, go to cheesecake factory. If you want to man or woman up, throw some of this in a smoothie with banana and berries before or after you hit the gym, and the results are going to speak for themselves. Only real complaint is that the seal at the top could be better. Otherwise, I'm pleased with this.

The BEST protein powder I have found. I use it with frozen berries, lemon juice, and green energy powder to make a smoothie, every morning, My husband and I love it. We really miss it, if we miss a day. Anthony's Peas is the only protein powder that I actually like. That is because I can't taste it. The worst we had tasted like old grease, so I was thrilled to find this one!

The person who is writing about how strong the flavor is has not tried other pea proteins. This is the best I've found and the “grind” is the best for mixing in water. Others I tried had a finer grind that didn't mix well.

I know people who hate the taste of plain whey powder. I don't. Pea protein is a bit stronger flavor than many other powders and, guess what, it tastes like green peas. To me the flavor is mild, but again, as I say, I don't mind plain whey powder either and I have friends who gag on it. In any case, if I want something delicious, I buy Haagen Daaz Mint Chip, not a pea protein powder. This is about meeting protein needs that I should meet with real food, but don't.

The best vegan protein is a 50/50 mix of rice and pea protein. I'm not personally a vegan, but am just saying that if you're looking for the best amino acid profile, that's how to get it. Some people say that it's actually a better profile than whey. I don't know about that, but it is very similar. Whether better or worse probably depends on what else you're eating and what you need.

Anyway, this is the best pea protein I've found and I match it with the NOW nutrition sprouted brown rice protein, which also mixes well and has very little flavor.

Personally, I never buy pre-mixed shakes. I find most taste disgusting and would much rather just have a mild pea flavor than that. I'm surprised by the person who didn't like the taste of this and was worried about whether it was GMO (it's not), so was going back to some vanilla shake that is probably loaded with flavoring and stevia and all kinds of things like that. No thanks!

I wish I was better at getting protein through real food, but I'm not, so I take supplements. But for me, I love it when I find supplements like this with one and only one ingredient. If I don't like the taste, I'll add my own cocoa or whatever, thank you very much.

Very sorry to see that this product is “on hold” right now because of some customer complaint. I went to the Anthony's website to buy the product, even though it costs slightly more there. I've tried enough of the other pea proteins that I'm not switching.

Alright, now I rarely post product reviews but I had to for this one. First off, let me say that I've been using NOW sports pea protein for about a year and had gotten used to the grainy texture and chunks that would often form in my blender bottle. So when I bought this I expect it to be about the same quality but let me tell you – I was VERY WRONG! This stuff dissolved so much easier in the bottle and had a very smooth finish.

Review 5

Very good! I like the light flavor of it. It does have a distinct taste, so it needs a bit of dilution with something sweet like fruit. It is kind of a nice, earthy nutty taste though which I have easily come to enjoy. When I put it in my smoothies with almond milk and some cherries it tastes great. With a lot of sweet berries, you really can't taste it. The color is beautiful and it seems like really good stuff. I like making little frozen peanut butter treats with it too. 🙂

am trying to avoid Diabetes type II and find that pea protein with egg white in a homemade shake is kick butt. Instead of raising insulin pea protein boosts energy- feel the power! Whey protein- even the better kind does raise insulin period. Not a good choice. Soy is bad as well. This brand is decently priced, comes quickly, has little flavor, and mixes very very well. I do use a blender, but this actually can mix in a self shake bottle

Review 7

I bought this to help my blood sugar because I am pregnant and have gestational diabetes and also with taking more protein but wanted to go plant based as I have kidney disease. It is a good option because it is low carb high protein, but does have an aftertaste and is hard to mix. I recommend mixing with 1/2 banana in a smoothie or pb with chocolate milk in a blender.

Review 8

This protein is awesome 🙂 It must have some amino acids that Im normally short on, because Im downright giddy an hour or so after drinking. Yes, it does taste a bit like hay/grass, but its really mild. If you enjoy somewhat grassy goat milk, you won't even notice the grassiness of this pea protein. Ive taken it with just itself and soy milk, but currently mix it with soy milk, a vanilla protein powder that also has 7 grams fiber (orgain), and a couple pieces of frozen berry/mango ~ super delicious, 60 grams of protein and 10 grams of fiber for breakfast. Sweet way to start the day 🙂

Conclusion

Derived from a plant based source, our Pea Protein is vegan friendly, and Batch Tested and Verified Gluten-Free.
