Although not stated on Amazon's site, the Woder website claims this filter will not affect flow rate. I had my doubts as to whether Woder had obtained a dispensation from the laws of physics, so I figured when I ordered there would be some reduction in flow. Prior to installing the unit, I placed a 12-cup mixing bowl in the sink and measured how long it took to fill it and consistently got 43 to 45 seconds. After installing the filter, the laws governing hydraulic flow indeed held and it took anywhere from 60 to 62 seconds to fill the mixing bowl. This to me is an acceptable and expected flow reduction for what I'm getting: safe water from my kitchen's cold water tap.

When I was looking for a good filter, I ordered the water quality meter (ppm – parts per million). I checked the quality of water before the installation (was 450 ppm – which is horrible quality of water), and after the installation (became 380 ppm – which is also horrible quality of water). So that means that the filter doesn't work as it should, because the ideal drinking water should be from 0 to 50 ppm. That is the reason why I returned the filer. Don't recommended!

Purchased this on the basis that the extra size would help the filtrate process. just installed. smell no chlorine. taste fine. water does taste like my bottle water. tight access to install under sink cabnet.. did install in basement ceiling right under sink.

Water tastes GREAT! This unit actually rids water of more than what is in the Amazon description. When we emailed questions, they got back to us very quickly telling us that the unit DOES filter out PCBs and VOCs, too. They have a PDF with more information, and I think it would be helpful to buyers and beneficial to the seller to post that in the description.

Disappointment is what I feel. I thought I bought a top rated filter with a 3 year life, But here I am only 5 months later needing replacement filters. I have 2 one on the cold water in the master bath and the other on my kitchen sink for drinking water. There are only 2 of us living here and I still use a 2 cases of bottled water a week, so how is it these 2 filters are needing replacement after only 5 months in use. The answer is simple there greatly overrated they don't last 3 years, they don't last 10000 gallons, they don't last 6 months.

So pleased with the filter. I had no idea you could (or should) filter the entire cold water output of your home's kitchen sink until I found this! This high-volume filter makes it possible, and it makes everything so much easier than using PUR or BRITA pitchers – saving a ton of time over its lifespan…
We got the Woder product 4 months ago, and I was able to install it in under an hour. Rather than getting the cheaper Woder unit, we opted for this one instead (with the smart head and easily-replaceable filters) so it would be a breeze to replace them every 1-2 years. When compared with the large PUR dispenser we had previously, this will save *days* of my life every year.
Here's the comparison. I figured the PUR dispenser took about 2 minutes of our family's time per day (on average) in dealing with all the filling, cleaning, and filter-replacing. Multiply by 365 and then divide by 60. That's over *12 hours* per year! Saving 12 hours of our lives by not fiddling with the PUR!
Compare that to the Woder. It took under 1 hour to install the first time, and done. It will take much less than that when the filter needs a quick screw-in replacement in a couple more years. Not to mention, the overall cost of Woder vs. Pur is roughly the same. It's a no-brainer!
Oh, and the level & quality of filtration is excellent, and the taste of the water is fantastic (better than Pur, and for longer). It also means that fresh, clean, filtered water is always accessible with no waiting, even for the kids.
The only slight downside is it dropped the flow of the cold water tap slightly, but not a huge deal. We turned down the thermostat on our hot water heater in the basement to 130 degrees, which has had the triple benefit of requiring less cold water from all taps, reducing risk of scalding for the kids, as well as dropping our energy bills. So now we don't use or need to use cold water from the kitchen sink as much as we used to, except for drinking and cooking.
Bottom line: Highly recommended, enormous timesaver, and really the best home purchase we've made in a long time.

Works great! I don't mind the taste of the water here, but my girlfriend refused to drink it. Enter the filter pitcher, destined to take up valuable tall-item refrigerator storage for two years, until I decided enough = enough. The water pressure here is fantastic in the mornings and evenings, and I thought I couldn't really go wrong installing an inline filter. It's true- I didn't go wrong with this purchase. Although the flow rate from my tap was reduced quite a bit (perhaps 15-20%), it really only affects the cold-water supply and is as fast as the reverse-osmosis unit with dedicated faucet at the office. The hot water pressure is unaffected, so doing dishes is still just as convenient as before. The water taste is great. We did a side-by-side with the pitcher, at ambient, and we couldn't tell a difference. Goodbye pitcher! Took about 4 minutes and 42.65 seconds to install, with nothing but a pair of crescent wrenches, a drill and an IPA.
