I like that it's compact and stainless steel because it matches our kitchen. However, after just a few weeks it started spitting out chunks of carbon. You can't get a glass of water without black chunks floating in it, and I'm not sure it's safe to drink. Looking for a solution…

To soon to tell, but I do taste a big difference. I drink a lot of water; I used the Brita filters, but there was still a smell and the water did not taste clean. I followed the directions for this and see a difference. I would say that the directions do not tell you to pull the small tab that fits to the faucet in order to get water from the spout on the filtrator. That part was not on the directions included. I had to find that out when I searched the question area. So I will update later about the length of clean water. Only two of us use it, so hopefully it will last over a year. As of now, I would recommend it.

I am very happy with this water filter. I had been using the big Puur water tank with a Puur filter in it, but the filters clog up quickly and don't last long at all. After drying out long enough, the Puur filters would start working again but always swapping filters is a big pain and they aren't cheap and the water is filtered very slowly unless the filter is new.

This CleanWater4Less filter gives me water that tastes just as good as what I get out of the Puur filter but much more quickly as the water pressure from the faucet forces the water though the filter so it only takes a minute or so to filter a gallon of water. I haven't had any problems with leaks. The diverter valve will occasionally stick in the filter position, but tapping it with your finger will switch it back.

Update 09/2017: The water still tastes great and it can filter a gallon of water in about a minute. I would estimate that I drink about 1.5 gallons per day of water coming out of this filter so that's 9 months x 30 days x 1.5 gallons = about 400 gallons filtered so far and it's still going strong with no signs of decreased water flow. I did not care for the taste of the city water at all before I got this filter.

i was excited enough about this product to purchase. once recd, very easy to install. my moen faucet did not need the 2 adapters that came with the filter unit. however, in the span of a week, the cheap china made hose part that connect directly to the lower housing unit sprung a leak. im very disappointed that a proper thick gauge hose isn't made for this unit. im returning the item and going with something designed and made in europe. shame on the mfr for making a possible nice filter unit cheap by shortcutting on quality where its needed. id have even considered paying slightly more to get a better quality item. at a 10,000 gallon shelf life, something more durable is required here. pass.

The water from this filter taste good and clean, it comes out fast and cold; not like other filters in which the water comes out slow and one would have to wait for cold water to come out. Ready to drink water as soon as it comes out. No hassles! A 4 star was given due to only owning the filter for a couple of months and not a couple of years, therefore I'm not sure if it'll still have the same preformance and last. Overall works great and recommend it, hence, it is better than bottles of water and replacement filter.

Got stationed in California, terrible place. The water smelled of pool water. Thanks to the maker of this product our water is pure and clean. I haven't ran any tests on it but the chlorine smell and chalky taste is gone. Because of the quality of our water I don't know if it will last for as much as 10,000 gallons but I have owned the product for 4 months now and we use the water from it for everything and it's still going strong. If it didn't last I would blame the terrible water not the construction or quality of the filter they use.

After many reviews and reading this is have down the best bang for your buck and the water flow is incredible it doesn't drip out like a Brita filter. Very easy install and wonderful mode of operation.

It was easy to install. I like the convenience of not having to replace filters. Since we rent, this makes it easier to take with us when we move than one that goes under the sink. It also has good water pressure so you don't have to wait forever to fill a glass or cat's water dish! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the water tastes odd to me. We had a Britta for a while and I really didn't like it because you could taste and smell the chlorine that was supposed to be removed. This one gets the chlorine completely, at least I don't smell or taste it. Whatever I am tasting isn't anything familiar, and I am getting used to the taste as it is less noticeable over time. All in all, I am very happy with this filter!

OMG This is a Great Water Purifier! I live in Arizona and well we don't have a lot of water. In my stainless sink, I always had a white residue salt, chemicals. And it always reeked like a Swimming Pool. There were certain hours of the day I knew I could get plain tap water but it was a small window.
I used to buy water at the store for a quarter, but hauling the plastic jugs upstairs was never a chore I enjoyed- I live where it is not uncommon to be 115-120 degrees..
I did a taste test between the tap, new filter, and a bottle of expensive water. The tap was best and didn't have a plastic taste like bottled water, nor did it stink. I'm mostly thrilled I can cook with cleaner water. And there are no filters to buy or any nonsense- ridiculously easy to install, let water run for 15 minutes and you are off to the races! Enjoy

Conclusion

While most of the countertop drinking water filter required a hefty maintenance cost, the CleanWater4Less doesn’t need any replacement for up to 10,000 gallons of drinking water.
