We love that finnally we have a source of water we can trust. The system is working superbl, as we hoped. The water we wash ourselves with feels cleaner than anything we have experienced, and no chlorine odors in the air. We don't have to run the water to rinse any residual lead in the morning. Our clothes wash cleaner, and rinse completely free of any soaps

The system showed up relatively quickly. I had a plumber install the system because our water is very high pressure and since this is a ten year setup we felt it would be better to have a professional. They used brass and copper in place of some of the “pro install kit” items for a better and safer install. The cost was more than expected but well worth it for peace of mind. Shower, dishwasher, washer, brushing teeth, etc now using chlorine and metal free water. Being able to drink clean tasting water anywhere in the house is such a pleasure. Already had a friend buy the same system.

Amazing difference with whole house filtration system. You can drink water from the tap, it tastes great. Yellow water is now crystal clear, cleaner clothes and toilets.

The installation took our plumber about 6 hours. Before we switched over to the new system he took a chlorine test which showed a normal level of chlorine. Immediately after switching over and running water through all of the system, he did a follow-up test which showed no chlorine. We have noticed a tremendous drop in hard water residue.

Great product. I can tell the difference in water quality immediately. Relatively easy to install. One issue that I faced was air in the tap water. The micro bubbles eventually settle but I don’t like the look and feeling of airlifted water.

Many reviews talk about the installation and how the user feels the unit performs but do not provide actual testing data to show the difference/verify it actually works.
Since the mfg doesn't provide test results either(that I could find), I was concerned/sceptical regarding the softening and smell reducing ability when buying this product as I have very hard and alkiline well water with a strong Hydrogen sulfide smell.
To get some form of data I purchased First Alert home one water test and conducted the test several months prior to installation and again a few days after. The results show a significant change from hard to softer water along with a noticible decrease and near elimination of the hydrogen sulfide smell.
Although the performance is great, I don't recommend installing this if you don't have basic plumbing and carpentry skills. If you do have these skills, it isnt terribly difficult to install but you will spend several hours to complete. It would have also been helpful having written instructions(aside from flushing) along with shims to line up the pre and post filter with the main filters.
Lastly, the pro kit will only work with PEX and would have been much easier to use if they provided the slip on shark bites vs the crimp. This would save the installer money on the tools and additional parts needed for crimp fittings.
Overall I am very pleased but probably would have purchased much sooner if they had more data on performance and details on installation.
Note: other constituents tested with the first alert kits were already at low/acceptable levels and showed no change.

We bought the Aquasana system last year. After installing there was a major problem. If any product containing bleach is used the water turns brown. The inside of the dishwasher became horribly stained d/t the chemical reaction. Cannot use bleach when doing laundry or cloths turn brown. I called customer service many times. They had us do a water test but never contacted us regarding results. I called repeatedly and was told a sales person or management would get back to me. IT NEVER HAPPENED. TO THIS DAY I HAVE NEVER HEARD BACK FROM AQUASANA.

I purchased this system and had it professionally installed. Worked lovely for about 1-2 months then it completely came to a halt in one of the bathrooms and kitchen water pressured disappeared. Had the professional plumber review system, no leaks or outside issues, purposely had a bypass line installed not to use the water filters and sure enough water pressure improved. Made a total of (3) email & phone call inquiries to the manufacturer and they had nerve to ask a plumber to remove it and re-install it via a few specific steps and if possible VIDEO RECORD it! All this money and this was the best they can offer instead of sending someone to my residence? I would seriously consider before purchasing; customer service in my experience was not worth 2 stars the most. I welcome them reading this one day and see if finally they get the message that customers expect a better experience at least make a good effort.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY, you can buy everything separate at your local Lowe’s or Home Depot for under $500… the way the picture shows to set up really isn’t practical when you consider bracing things to a wall. I wish I would have saved the money but now it’s installed and I might as well keep it.
I imagine the mark up is over 1000% as to what it costs them to make. No bang for your buck. Please consider buying each piece separately and the tools needed for pex pipping, it is a better investment.

I do not get the buildup of lime around the kitchen sink or the shower walls any longer. The water tastes as good at every faucet in the house. Previously only the water from the refrigerator would be this good, because of the built in filter. Installation was without the pro installation kit. This being my preference. See photo attached.

A pain in the butt to install. Took a professional licensed plumber several hours and a trip to Home Depot because some necessary parts were missing. The color is just terrible and stands out like a sore thumb. Instructions are lacking so def. have someone experienced put this thing up.
Once it was installed though, the water quality improved markedly over the next few days. Remember it takes some time for the “old” water in your home's pipes to flush out, and especially from your hot water tank (might take several showers and washes actually).
This filtration system absolutely works. Usually our muni water tastes like a swimming pool. After installing this system, it tasted like…WATER! OMG! We also noticed better cleaning with fewer residues on dishes and clothes.
The cost for the unit itself was decent, but do remember that unless you're experienced and comfortable in installing this yourself, you will want to hire someone who knows their stuff – and that gets expensive. Some homes require different plumbing, depending on where your main water line is (for example, if your garage is at the back of your house, there's a good chance you'll need special plumbing for this, which adds cost)
If, like us, you're new to filtration systems like this, note that this unit does not require electricity of any kind, so you do not have to put this anywhere near an electric outlet. Nor does this require salt, unlike other, older filtration systems. It's pretty much set-and-forget (you do need to replace some filters though).
Conclusion
This system is very clean and organized. I feel our water is well filtered and contaminant free.
