It's a decent water pitcher that provides enough water for a small family, without having to change the filter too often.
I bought this about two month ago and we use it regularly. Here's one tip: make sure to refill the pithcer with enough water so that the filter is covered.
In the beginning, I noticed that the water wasn't really much alkaline but I figured later I used it wrong: I first measured the pH of the water with pH paper (if you get some make sure there's a color change in the range 7-9), but when I only refilled a little bit of water, the water would just run through the filter within 10 seconds or so, and the pH would be just slightly above 7.
If you check for bottled alkaline water, it is typically advertised as having a pH ~9, and that was more of what I'd expected.
When I refilled the pitcher to 3/4 of more, the water would still “touch” the filter, and more exchange can obviously happen in that situation, and the pH would now be between 8 and 9. Aha! So make sure to refill it to an appropriate level.

This does what it says! My work and my home water went from a 7.0 to a 9.0. Be sure to follow the instructions and run the cartridge under water for a couple of minutes first, and then fill it 3 times and empty the water 3 times before drinking. If you let the water get too low in the bottom while drinking, fill it back up to where it comes above the bottom of the cartridge. My only wish is that this pitcher came with testing drops so everyone could see how it works. I already had testing drops from other alkaline water products I've purchased, so I was able to do the test (see attached photo). I will say this is the most convenient product I've purchased for alkaline water, and it has a good price point. I'm happy with this purchase.

Changed my bottle water (aquafina& great value aka Walmart water) pH lvl to alkaline around a 9 I ideally filter around 3-4 bottles. now with that being said your water will return to neutral after 2-8 hrs depending how you store it. alkaline water will not stay in that state forever, but a neutral 7 is better than the 5&6 pH lvls before the filter. Now if you want a 9 everytime just filter what you want to drink takes around 2-3 min to get enough for a glass great product

Simply put, this water pitcher fulfills its purpose – it filters your water, makes it taste better and increases the alkalinity of my tap water. I would love for them to put out a 3.5 liter model because I can go through a couple of these in a day pretty easily just in the morning and after work, but it's as good a pitcher as I've used (Pur, Brita, etc.). For those wondering about a lot of the reviews saying that the top has trouble staying put – yes, that is the case. But it doesn't change my five-star rating for this pitcher, because guess what? Every pitcher I've ever used has had that exact “issue” and I don't buy water pitchers for the stability of the top (as I imagine most of you don't, as well). Plus, it's easily resolved by a small piece of scotch tape or two on either side, which doesn't affect anything because it has an access port at the top for filling, and you don't otherwise need to remove the top until you need to change the filter. And most importantly, it's reasonably priced at $35, while their filters are among the most reasonably priced (4 for $30, i.e., $7.50 each) compared to other brands. Highly recommended.

Unacceptable . I bought two pitchers. Both filters came tampered with and appeared to be used inside a ziplock bag. The smell of the filters were horrible like a wet sock. I never have given a bad review but this really grinded my gears. Horrible and unprofessional.

If you have chronic kidney disease, (CKD) be aware that this pitcher claims to add high concentrations of calcium, potassium, and magnesium back into the water. You know that damaged kidneys cannot filter high concentrations of potassium.
I have been happy drinking this filtered water since July of 2016 and have only recently been diagnosed with CKD. Only today, I realized that the filtered water had potassium and could be causing my heart harm. CKD patients usually die from heart problems related to too much potassium in the blood.
I did not put together in my mind that one of the healthful minerals is not being filtered by my damaged kidneys. I am not blaming the water filter for my disease. A diet rich in animal and dairy products did that. The filter did what it claims, but I wish I had paid more close attention to the diagrams on the box concerning the minerals added back.

I've been on the alkaline water kick since hearing about the benefits. I would research the best bottled alkaline water company but only could go by their customer reviews then I wondered what makes their water alkaline. I still wasn't completely satisfied so a friend informed me about alkaline water filtering systems for kitchen counters and I didn't want anything bulky next to my sink so in my research I found the answer I was looking for. The Alkaline water pitcher from Lake Industries was my golden ticket. I tasted several bottled water brands of alkaline water so it was evident the marked difference between store purchase and having your very own filtration system that actually make your water alkaline. The taste is fresh, extremely fresh and my body responded to having real alkaline water. I use my alkaline water for everything from cooking making coffee to just a nice cold glass of fresh water and I couldn't be happier. The pitcher looks small and narrow but it fills up to the top of 2 liters and since I drink so much water I purchased a second one. For those looking to have better management over your water filtration buy this brand, your body will love you for it.
